Mr. Zachary Maxcey

Mr. Zachary Maxcey earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Studies from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2004. He then served for seven years as an infantry officer in the United States Army with two deployments to Iraq. He subsequently attended Providence Theological Seminary, from which he graduated with a Master of Divinity. Feeling the call to teach, Mr. Maxcey joined the staff of Aquidneck Island Christian Academy, a classical Christian school in Middletown, RI, in 2015. He is now glad to be a member of the Samuel Fuller community, joining our team of Latin teachers and serving as the primary Upper School Humanities teacher. Mr. Maxcey lives in Massachusetts with his wife Jordan and children Annabelle and Josiah.

What do you look forward to the most heading into a new school year?

"I am looking forward to mentoring my students towards a greater understanding of God, a greater understanding of His Word, and a greater understanding of this world He has created.

My sincere hope for all my students is that they believe the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the power of God unto salvation; that they are actively cultivating Christian virtue and piety; that they are able to distinguish not only between truth and error, but also between essential and non-essential matters of Christian doctrine; and finally that they are able to communicate the Gospel or any facet of Christian doctrine faithfully, fairly, clearly, winsomely, and lovingly."
